- Fascinating and enlightening Review by Amy
Even for those not interested in "Chinese" painting, I believe this book will go far to improve an artist's western-style watercolor painting. And that is one purpose of the book: it compares and contrasts the two and Lian explains how each has strengthened his work.
I'm so excited to try Lian's techniques. Simple, illustrative strokes, instead of little painstaking marks; minimal palette (three colors) and materials and so very much more.
It's totally unfair to rate this book based on how one feels about the bookseller, by the way.

- Chinese Landscape Painting Bonus Demo Links Review by North Light Customer Service Team
Hi Donna – we’re sorry you weren’t able to access the Chinese Landscape Painting bonus demonstrations right away. However, we’re happy to report that the demo videos are now available on Artist’s Network at the following link: http://www.artistsnetwork.com/chineselandscapes. Enjoy!

- Great book, but broken links for all bonus demos Review by Donna
I would rate this book a five, it is instructive, informative, and Lian's painting style is fantastic. BUT, once again, North Light has produced a book with links for bonus demos and the links don't work. All you get is a message that the website has changed and the page is no longer available. The search box yields nothing, and emails to customer service get no reply. This might be understandable if the book was published awhile ago, but this one only just went to print and isn't even out for distribution yet.
