Beautiful, informative book Review by Audrey
Rating

I have another of Chris's books as well as her Painting Portaits in Warm Light DVD and refer to them constantly. This book is the cherry on the top! I'm new to portrait painting and am finding the clear instruction very helpful even though I'm currently using acrylics. This book has convinced to try oils. I recommend this to any portrait artist. Thank you Chris sharing your talent with us.

Classical Portrait Painting. by Chris Saper Review by Maureen
Rating

This has been one of the most helpful books on portrait painting I have read, and was just the boost I needed to try more. It is well-written and organized, thorough, and the step-by step demos helpful. It is an excellent book for a beginning portrait artist, and well-worth the investment.
In short, I highly recommend this book by Chris Saper, or any of her books and DVD's, for that matter!

Classic Portrait Painting in Oils Review by Anna

I highly reccomend this book. It contains all the essentials a student needs to focus on. I love the simple yet personal way it is written, I love the practical and informative steps and the paintings. I bought a similar book the same day which I like (but have not read) - but I love this one. If I could make a small criticism: here in Europe I cannot find many of the colours used and I wish the authour had put more alternative names, just to help get me started. If you only get one portrait book - get this one. Thanks, Chris Saper - Anna
