Jump Start Your Creativity is based on a very simple concept: Fill a jar with strips of paper, each one suggesting a specific material, technique or approach. (For example: colored ink, memorabilia, vertical title, all photo background, greeting card as inspiration, etc.) Then, when you sit down to begin a scrapbook layout (or any paper craft project), simply pull one or more 'idea strips' from your jar and follow their lead. With the 'tough decisions' already made, you are free to just sit back and have fun creating!

Are you game? To get you going, this book includes two pages of 80 idea strips for you to cut apart and start your own 'jump-start jar.' The rest of the book shows examples of great scrapbook pages inspired by one, two or three of these strips.

Dip into your jump-start jar whenever you want to break out of old habits; get excited about using some of your older, forgotten supplies; and revisit techniques that you haven't used in a while. It's a surefire way to stoke your creative fires!
