A sparkling river scene begins as a red underpainting, which works to offset the wealth of greens in the final piece. A monochromatic underpainting establishes the basic bones of a Grand Canyon scene, while a brilliant autumn foliage scene begins as a humble series of transparent yellow washes. After the paintings sit overnight, watch as Tim goes back in to rework, reshape, and make final subtle changes to build drama and atmosphere.Along the way you'll see palette-action as Tim works his mixes.
