You'll love this print issue of Southwest Art if:
- You want to know who's who in representational art
- You want to hear the details on top upcoming art shows and events
- You want to catch up on artists you've read about in the past and where they are today
In this and every issue of Southwest Art you'll find exciting and informative art articles and artist interviews. Featuring a wide variety of artwork and exclusive peeks inside the mind of western artists, Southwest Art is the best art magazine for western art lovers.
In this issue, meet 10 people who are shaping and defining contemporary representational art, from artists and teachers who are instructing the next generation of representational artists to the gallery owners who represent them.
Meet our featured artists Nancy Bush and Mike Malm. Nancy Bush had raised a family and was working in real estate before her husband, Bill, having listened to her dreams of becoming an artist, walked her to the phone and made her dial the number to sign up for art classes. Today Bush paints emotionally charged tonalist landscapes. Mike Malm's artistic trajectory was more direct, having doodled and drawn his way through childhood, he studied art in Utah and earned an MFA before turning his brushes to family moments and simple innocence that inspires his work, which, he hopes, spreads a sense of peace and serenity to the viewers.
Plan your next art collecting trip with our previews of upcoming art events in the West and Southwest including the hottest shows in Prescott, AZ; Taos and Santa Fe, NM; Norman, OK; and Dallas, TX. Don’t miss out on these must-see art shows!
