A Word From the Author:
"Understanding the painting techniques we discuss is the key to using them. Some of the preliminary exercises may seem dull, but if you do them, you will be better equipped to paint, and you will experience far less frustration. In my years of teaching, I’ve learned that everyone has hidden depths of artistic talent. Finding how to access this talent is the key. I’ve found that encouragement plus step-by-step instruction can transform a dedicated novice into a skilled artist. I’ll provide the instruction, but you’ll have to encourage yourself. Be patient and allow yourself to make mistakes; that’s how you will learn." — Victoria Lisi
