Rating This series is better than any book could be. The demos are very good and have helped me enormously. What I would have liked to see more of were watercolor techniques for dramatic, stormy skies, and sunsets where the clouds are in shadow. I know that these are perhaps very advanced techniques. The techniques shown are more than adequate for the average artist, and should be satisfactory for most applications.

Rating As a buyer of all of the available videos by Johannes, I must say that these are by far and away the best art lessons and best value I've found anywhere, be it books, videos, workshops or formal classes. In a way, it's unfortunate that "painting" is in the title, because his teaching can benefit any genre. He is one of the very rare teachers whose genuine caring and enthusiasm shine through. It has been a joy to watch and learn from this master.
