A Word From the Author:

"Zentangle is the use of repetitive, basic pattern drawing. It is simple. It is achievable. And you don't even have to be able to draw. Why not, you ask? Because, actually, you can draw. Anyone can. You just need the tools and the know-how, and that's where this book comes in.

Zentangle is about being thoughtful. Deliberate. Focused. You cannot rush Zentangle. It won't let you, because it forces you to stop, think about and feel what you're doing.

Zentangle can also be fast- it's realistic to find ten minutes in your day in which to complete a Zentangle artwork." --Kass Hall

Lost in the Tangles Review by Brittany

It's easy to get absorbed in this book and lose time as you're tangling away, but it's a good distraction. All of the approaches are simple and easy, and the laid-back feeling of the book makes adding your own designs and twists second nature.

Broken Down Nicely Review by Tonia

Before seeing how Kass broke down this method of meditative drawing, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical that it was something easily attainable for anyone. But after seeing how easy, fun and relaxing this process truly is (not to mention all the directions you can take it in), I feel like I've been let in on the secret!

Excellent. Enables you to think beyond the basics. Review by Vivian

I had been drawing zentangles in black and white for sometime and wanted to see what approach I could use if I decided to use color. This book led me in that direction. I was also interested to see how I could think 'out of the box' and use zentangling in other projects as well. This book introduced to me to several which enabled me to think of other applications as well.

I also liked the format of the book. Each page is designed simply so I could enjoy and understand the information.

Love this book!

Not so good.... Review by AmazingArt

I was very disappointed with this book. I was looking for a book that was more representative of the original Zentangle tradition. Instead, this is more of a showcase for the author's hodge podge of scrapbook pages that do not resemble art. I'm an artist, so I love color, but what I really love about Zentangle is the clean, simple, black and white creations. More than half of this book is about color and not at all what I wanted or expected.

If you're looking for more traditional zentangle - don't waste your money on this book.

Fun and fabulous! Review by Jeannie

I have been devouring Kass Hall's new book since it arrived last week. I am new to zentangle and had been put off by idea of "learning" how to doodle. Was I ever wrong! Kass simply explains the difference. The book is chock full of inspiration and instruction. I know that Kass' book will become a favorite go to book for days when the muse is on vacation. Thank you, Kass for an excellent book!

it is terrific Review by kaye

I just received my copy of zentangle untangled and I am so enjoying it. At first I thought it would only be black and white, but Kass does so much with color, too. Kass, I wish you well in your battle with cancer. It is a tough one, but winable. Grace and peace
